It takes a lot more than a good lawn mower to successfully run and operate a full service landscaping company. 

Jared Owens, Owner of Owens Lawn Care, has the background and training to give customers an ease of mind when beginning projects. He has taken numerous hands-on training courses for a wide variety of lawn care topics, holds certifications for professional installation of hardscape products, as well as snow and ice management, and always ensure every safety measure is taken to ensure your projects are installed the way they should be. 

 

Shortly after graduating high school, Owens landed a summer job at a local golf course where he first learned the basics of turf management. It was that job that sparked his interest in lawn care and for the following four years, he would study Geological Science with a concentration in Environmental Studies at Albion College in Albion, Michigan.

 

During his junior year of college, Owens landed a position with another golf course - Franklin Hills Country Club of Farmington Hills - which is known as the most prestigious golf course in the state. There, he helped redesign bunkers, manage the greens and worked hand-in-hand with the course's Superintendent, another key tool that helped him gain knowledge of proper lawn management. 

 

Upon graduating from Albion, Owens returned to his hometown of Niles, MI, where he found himself at yet another course - Warren Golf Course on the University of Notre Dame's campus. It was this job, and returning to school for his masters degree, that allowed him to form his very own business, Owens Lawn Care.

Owens Lawn Care has become a leader in Lawn Care, Landscape Design and Snow Plow removal in the Michiana area, and Owens plans to offer that same exceptional service for many, many years to come.
